Cerrillos Island is generally covered by sclerophyll forest species such as peumo and liters.

According to the figures, birds are the most visible group of wildlife animals with more than 90 species, emphasized by the black-necked swan, crow swamp and coscoroba swan. Among mammals it can be found nutria, fox and Quique.
